Hello!
We're the Trent and Carolyn Cunningham family. Trent was born and raised on a fruit orchard in Delta, CO where his mother, Shirlene, still grows peaches and other fruits. In 1992, we purchased our first orchard and moved our young family to this beautiful area called the Vinelands of Palisade. It is our privilege to provide your family with tree-ripened Colorado peaches and pears that have been fed by the snow melt of the Colorado Mountains and kissed by the high altitude sun of beautiful Palisade, Colorado. |
A 50+ year heritage in Oklahoma and Texas
For half a century now (three generations!), the Cunningham Family has delivered tree-ripe fruit to the fine folks of Oklahoma and Texas, adding stops in Kansas and New Mexico along the way. It's been an absolute honor to provide your family with high-quality fruit for decades, and we appreciate your loyalty and support! Cunningham's Palisade Peaches
What's different about our Palisade peaches, you may ask? Most peaches grown in the US are picked earlier and greener than ours so the peaches are durable enough to roll through the automated machinery of packing lines. Our peaches are different! Instead of using automated packing machinery, we let our fruit hang as long as possible to get every drop of sugar before hand-picking tree-ripe peaches right in the orchard--just like Trent's dad and granddad did! From there, we bring the peaches home to our Palisade barn to be lovingly hand-packed by our team at the shed. We grow about 12 varieties of peaches, which are staggered and become ripe at different points throughout the season. Peach season is typically late July through early September.

Cunningham's Bartlett Pears
One of the best-kept secrets at Cunningham Orchards is our delicious Bartlett pears! While many people have had unpleasant experiences with grocery store pears in the past—whether because of dull flavor or grainy texture--ours are different. Our pear orchard in Palisade, Colorado is home to trees that are over 50 years old, which produce pears that are sweet and mild with a wonderful texture. While we are well known for our peaches, many of our fans love the pears even more! Our pears are delicious cut up fresh or in tasty recipes such as pear butter, pear pie, or pear smoothies. Kids love them, too! Why not try a box next time you stop by the shed? Pear season is typically mid-August through early September.

Cunningham's Colorado Honey
Have you tried our honey? Pure, raw, unfiltered, and unpasteurized, our Colorado honey is deliciously sweet with a balanced honey flavor. It's our favorite honey (maybe we're biased?), and we think it will be yours, too! Our honey is harvested from the happy bees that freely roam the orchards and fields of Western Colorado. At the Cunningham house, we love to use our honey on toast, oatmeal, in hot tea, drizzled on yogurt, and even by the spoonful! Honey is typically available year-round.

Cunningham's Sweet Cherries - Click here to pre-order!
A Fourth of July favorite, our sweet Skeena cherries are big, dark, and firm—similar to a Bing cherry! Our family has fond memories of gathering around for Fourth of July barbecues, with a box of our delicious sweet cherries to snack on throughout the day—pit spitting contest, anyone? We farm a relatively smaller number of cherry trees, and cherries are very susceptible to spring frost, so our cherry supply is delicate and varies from year to year. Cherry season is typically late June to early July.
